Chicken Bao Buns with Chilli Oil

Ingredients

  • 4–6 bao buns (store-bought, steamed)
  • 2 chicken breasts (cubed or sliced)
  • 2 tbsp Super Saucy Chilli Oil
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic (minced)
  • 1 tsp ginger (grated)
  • Shredded carrots
  • Sliced cucumber
  • Spring onions
  • Mayo (optional drizzle)

Instructions

  • Season & Cook Chicken – Sauté chicken with garlic and ginger until golden and cooked through.
  • Add soy sauce and 1–2 tbsp Super Saucy Chilli Oil. Let it caramelise slightly.
  • Steam bao buns until soft and fluffy.
  • Fill with chilli chicken, carrots, cucumber, and spring onions.
  • Finish with an extra drizzle of Super Saucy Chilli Oil for that bold kick 🔥

Tips for Success:

  • Preventing Deflation: Do not lift the lid while steaming and allow them to rest before cooking.
